Poland plans to revise its Recovery and Resilience Plan to reallocate funds for defense and economic resilience, said the country's Minister of Funds, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. The EU Recovery Fund has provided Poland with about 60 billion euros (63.1 billion dollars) in grants and low-interest loans.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported that Pełczyńska-Nałęcz is working on freeing up to 30 billion zloty (7.6 billion dollars) to transfer these funds to defense and the defense industry. He emphasized the need for immediate and comprehensive cooperation from other ministries and pointed out the necessity to expedite the development of a bill on state investments in defense, which could be adopted as early as next week.
